Trinity FLAC

FLAC (Free Legal Advice Centre) runs legal clinics, research projects, and mooting competitions.
FLAC (Free Legal Advice Centre) is a student-run society dedicated to promoting access to justice and raising awareness around social justice and human rights issues. We believe that legal support should be accessible to everyone, not just those who can afford it.
We run FREE weekly legal advice clinics for all students, where qualified solicitors volunteer their time to provide confidential guidance on a range of legal issues. Students must sign up online in advance to secure an appointment.
Outside of clinics, FLAC hosts Know Your Rights workshops, panel events, campaigns, and public interest law moots. Our annual moot competitions both internal and intervarsity, to explore advocacy in various social justice issues, with the winners awarded an internship with National FLAC.
We also run legal research projects on pressing social issues - from housing and asylum to gender justice - giving students the opportunity to develop their legal research skills while contributing to meaningful work.
FLAC is open to everyone- you don’t need to be a law student to get involved! If you care about equality, justice, and making the law more accessible, this is the place for you.

Debating: The Hist and The Phil
The Hist and The Phil are the two most active debating societies in College, as well as being amongst the oldest.
Their weekly debates, held in the GMB, provide a forum for the discussion of topical ideas and for hearing the opinions of "those in the 'know'".
While weekly debates attract a regular crowd, for major events, it is better to turn up early.
For further information, please refer to the individual societies (the Hist and The Phil).
