The collaborative event, supported by Article 109, centred on a screening of The Veto by director Tim Slade. The documentary examines the veto power held by the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, focusing on the debate regarding how this authority can prevent international institutions from effectively enforcing international law during global crises, while also exploring how the system could be reformed.

The evening was marked by the attendance of Uachtarán na hÉireann, Catherine Connolly TD, highlighting the national significance of the discourse. Provost Dr Linda Doyle welcomed guests to the event, which TWIL described as a "new era" for the society as a significant force on campus.
