Speaker Panel:

Professor Desmond Ryan LL.B. (Dubl.), B.C.L., M.A. (Oxon.), Ph.D. (Dubl.), Barrister-at-Law, F.T.C.D. is an Associate Professor and Director of the LL.M Programmes in the School of Law, Trinity College Dublin. His principal areas of research interest are in Employment Law and Tort Law, with a particular emphasis on the contract of employment, vicarious liability and dismissal law. He is interested in all aspects of the law of obligations and is a convenor of the Private Law Group. He has held visiting positions at several institutions including in the UK, Australia and the USA. 
He has published widely in journals including The Cambridge Law Journal, the Civil Justice Quarterly, Legal Studies, The Conveyancer and Property Lawyer, the Dublin University Law Journal, the Irish Employment Law Journal and the Northern Ireland Legal Quarterly.

Professor Felix Mezzanotte is the co-Director of the MSc in Law and Finance Programme. He teaches modules in financial services law, legal aspects of sustainable finance and insolvency law. His research has addressed legal problems in the areas of investor protection, EU sustainable finance, corporate law and governance, and competition law in the EU, Hong Kong and China. Felix’s work has been published in highly regarded law journals including the Capital Markets Law Journal, European Law Journal, Journal of Corporate Law Studies, Review of Banking & Financial Law, and the Journal of Antitrust Enforcement, among others. Prior to Trinity, Félix taught law at the Faculty of Business of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University for almost a decade.. He worked as policy advisor for the World Bank in Washington DC, and as a researcher at the Centre for Competition Policy, University of East Anglia, Norwich (UK)

Julia Tomasiak is a graduate of the LL.M (International and Comparative Law) degree programme. She will share her experiences during her studies at the university and since graduation.

Kelley McCabe and Jargalzaya Tsagaankhuu are the Postgraduate team at the School of Law. They are responsible for the administrative processes relating to the School of Law’s Postgraduate Taught (LL.M, MSc Law and Finance) and Postgraduate Research (Ph.D/M.Litt) programmes and support them students from application to Graduation. They will be available to assist with any queries you may have during the webinar.
