The OSPO promotes and supports the principles of open source and open data, in knowledge transfer and industry engagement within Trinity College. The office empowers researchers to execute on their open source and open data strategies by providing advice and the tools they need.

FossPrinciples

We support the principles of the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) model which provides tools and processes with which researchers can create, exchange, share and exploit software and knowledge efficiently and effectively. We acknowledge that open source access to knowledge and intellectual property is not limited to software and data. The same principles can also apply to hardware and other intellectual assets
