Dean's Research Initiatives Fund

The 2019-20 the Faculty of Health Sciences Dean's Research Initiatives Fund was awarded to three resesarch projects. The Research Initiatives Fund aims to advance the research priorities of Trinity College’s Strategic Plan, raise the national and international profile of the University and increase receipt of Horizon 2020 and HRB awards, as well as other funding. It awards investigators with seed funding that provides the foundation necessary to secure extramural funding for cutting edge, innovative and transformative research. The Principal Investigator must be a member of the academic or research staff of the Faculty of Health Sciences in Trinity College.

A high volume of quality applications were received from across all four Schools in the Faculty. It is with great pleasure that we announce three winners of the 2019-20 Faculty of Health Sciences Dean's Research Initiatives Fund:

PROJECT TITLE: Early biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease in people with Down syndrome.
