Following the overwhelming success of its inaugural season, E3 has proudly announced the launch of its second annual monthly online series, “Balanced Solutions for a Better World Online Webinar Series 2025-2026.” This new season will once again gather leading experts and innovators from across the globe to tackle pressing issues, ranging from climate action and biodiversity to sustainable engineering and social equity.
The free webinars are designed to serve as a vital bridge, connecting cutting-edge scientific research and policy development with practical, real-world solutions. The goal remains to foster a dialogue that produces balanced, multidisciplinary, and actionable solutions for a more sustainable and equitable future.
The 2025-2026 schedule is packed with high-impact sessions. It begins on Friday, October 17, 2025, with Professor Yvonne Buckley discussing "Integrated solutions for the climate and biodiversity crises," a topic that highlights the interconnected nature of environmental challenges. This is followed by a special event on International Climate Action Day 2025 on October 24th, featuring a panel including Prof. Anna Davies, Dr. Silvia Caldararu, and Dr. Gemma Donnelly-Cox.
Further sessions will explore the circular economy with Dr. Aimee Byrne (November 7, 2025), participatory approaches to Urban Wilding with Mairéad O'Donnell (November 14, 2025), and a discussion on the multidisciplinary approaches to the biodiversity crisis with Dr. Brian MacSharry from the European Environment Agency (November 21, 2025).
Looking ahead to 2026, topics range from public transport infrastructure in Irish cities with Prof. Brian Caulfield (January 23, 2026) to the scrutiny of Intelligent Personalised Agents with Prof. Owen Conlan (February 13, 2026). The series will also focus on social impact, with Dr. Nina Bresnihan discussing a sustainable, family-led STEM-learning ecosystem for rural Ireland (February 27, 2026).
Michael Lynham, E3's Marketing Manager and the series organiser, commented on the series' return: “On the strength of our last series, we are delighted to be back for a second season. Our planet faces complex, interconnected challenges, and no single discipline holds all the answers. This series is built on the belief that by bringing together leading minds from science, engineering, and the social sciences, we can foster the essential dialogue needed to craft balanced, actionable solutions for a sustainable and equitable world. We are incredibly excited to share this level of expertise with a global audience for free.”
The series is an invaluable resource for researchers, students, policymakers, and anyone passionate about making a positive impact on the world. All are invited to join the conversation and contribute to building a better future.
