Dr. Michael O’Martin - Class of 1963

The School of Dental Science were delighted to host a coffee morning on Friday 23rd August 2013 as part of the Trinity College Dublin Association and Trust Graduate Reunion Weekend. Professor June Nunn, is pictured here (R) with Dr. and Mrs O'Martin. Dr. Michael O'Martin is a graduate of 1961. While Michael may have thought his time of being a student was over, he found himself face-to-face with the current Dean, Prof June Nunn, as they reviewed his Dental School record! Thankfully, all must have been in order as Prof Nunn presented Micheal with a book and commemorative DDUH tie.

I graduated from Trinity in 1979. I worked in the UK for two and a half years, in the Portsmouth area. Whilst there, I met and fell in love with an Australian veterinarian, Hendrika. After my enjoyable stint in England, I returned to Dublin and worked in association with my father Des Gleeson in Chapelizod. My family and I lived happily in Kill, Co Kildare for five years. In 1987 my wife and I moved to Sydney NSW. To this day I still happily reside at Avalon beach on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.
