Sharon leads on social media and digital communications at Trinity. With over 20 years’ experience in communications, she now specialises in social media strategy, management, training, digital content creation, and senior leadership engagement.
Ms. Joanne Carroll

Internal Communications Officer
Joanne’s role is to connect colleagues to what we do at Trinity and why it matters. She manages T-Net, the staff intranet, and uses the Weekly Wrap-Up newsletter and other communications channels to tell stories and keep people informed and engaged.
Mr. Thomas Deane
Communications Manager for STEM
Thomas works with researchers (primarily in the Faculty of STEM) and builds strong relationships with journalists and broadcasters to publicise Trinity research via the media and social media. A former journalist, he has a Masters in Zoology.
Ms. Sally-Anne Fisher
Deputy Director, Public Affairs and Communications
Sally-Anne provides strategic leadership, expertise and direction for communications strategies, messaging, stakeholder engagement and channels. She manages the Trinity Communications team and has several decades of experience in Irish HE comms.
Ms. Aine Griffin

Áine is responsible for Trinity’s long-term strategic communications objectives, the creation and delivery of Trinity’s Public Affairs Strategy, as well as the leading Trinity’s Communications team in supporting the College community.

Andreia works with key social media platforms, creating content and data-driven campaigns, maintaining brand coherence across platforms for impactful digital communication.
Ms. Karen Mccourt
Digital Communications Officer, Trinity Communications
Karen works on the creation, roll-out and management of digital campaigns and day-to-day content across the central Trinity social media channels, including video, graphics and copy-editing, supporting the delivery of the overall College SM strategy.
Ms. Sorcha O'Boyle
Communications Manager, Trinity Communications
Sorcha leads Trinity’s central and crisis communications. She tells Trinity’s story to the wider world, represents Trinity in the CHARM-EU University Alliance and provides strategic advice to colleagues across the university.
Ms. Catherine O'Mahony
University Spokesperson, Trinity Communications
Catherine speaks to media about Trinity, leads on issue and reputation management, and gives strategic advice internally. A former journalist with decades of experience in Ireland and overseas, Catherine has a Masters in English from UCC.
Ms. Ciara O'Shea
Communications Manager for Health Sciences
Ciara tells the stories of our research and researchers in the Faculty of Health Sciences. Working with the media at home and abroad, she increases the visibility of Trinity research and its impact on the world. She holds a Masters in Science Comms.
Ms. Orla Sweeney
Public Affairs & Communications Executiv, Trinity Communications
Orla manages Trinity’s events calendar, image & video banks as well as producing content for T-Net & the Weekly Wrap-Up, she handles non-commercial filming & photocall requests, manages the digital information screens and assists in event management.
Ms. Fiona Tyrrell
Communications Manager for FAHSS
Fiona works with Arts, Humanities & Social Science academics to translate research into engaging stories & comment for traditional and social media. She has 20+ years’ experience in higher education, charity & media and holds a Masters in Journalism.
