Trinity St. James’s Cancer Institute
The Trinity St. James’s Cancer Institute will transform cancer care in Ireland by integrating research, medicine and training with education and clinical trials. This is in line with proven best international practice as well as Ireland’s National Cancer Strategy. Ireland’s first comprehensive cancer care centre will work to improve patient outcomes in prevention, detection and cures for cancer, as well as the treatment of cancer as a manageable chronic disease.
The Institute became the first Irish member of the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI) in 2017. In partnership with St. James’s Hospital, Inspiring Generations will fund the development of capacity; with the goal of building a new, dedicated facility on the St. James’s campus within the next five to seven years.
