The general approval process for new programmes or major reviews is shown in a flow diagram below. A proposal is developed by the School in consultation with academic affairs and other stakeholders. A proposal needs School endorsement before being able to progress to academic committees. The formal approval route consists of 6 steps: 1. School Executive Committee, 2. Faculty Dean, 3. Programme office or GSC subcommittee on PGT programmes and Micro-Credentials, 4. USC/GSC, 5. External Review, 6. University Council. After full approval, the Programme Director liaises with Academic Registry to set up the approved programme in SITS for admissions.
