Sally-Anne Fisher
Deputy director of public affairs & communications
Sally-Anne is the acting director, public affairs and communications. She leads on the development and implementation of the university's public affairs and communications strategy and provides strategic direction, advice and support for colleagues on communications plans, campaigns and stakeholder engagement. With several decades of experience working in Irish higher education communications, Sally-Anne holds a Masters in PR, BA in Archaeology & French, PG Diploma in EIA Management and is a member of the PRII.

Katie Byrne
Senior executive officer
Katie works with the sustainability team to publicise Trinity’s initiatives in climate action and biodiversity. She produces the Trinity Talks podcast, edits publications such as the Annual Report and manages Trinity’s events calendar, image bank and video banks as well as producing content for the Weekly Wrap Up. Katie holds a Masters in International Development from UCD and studied Political Science and Sociology at undergraduate level. She has worked in the education field for 18 years.

Orla Sweeney
Public affairs & communications officer
Orla uses Trinity's internal and external communications channels to tell stories and keep people informed about what is going on in the university. She handles non-commercial filming and photocall requests on campus, manages the college's digital information screens and assists in event management. She also provides high-level administrative support to the entire team. She holds a PG Diploma in Public Relations and Communications and has a degree in Spanish and Italian.

Sharon Campbell
Deputy Head of Communications
Sharon leads on social media and digital communications across the university. With nearly 20 years experience in communications, her focus is now on social media strategy, management and training, digital content creation and crisis communication, and senior
leadership engagement. Sharon holds a Masters in PR, BA in Classics, PG Diploma in Digital Marketing & Advertising and PG
Cert in Social Media.

Joanne Carroll
Internal Communications Officer
As internal communications officer, Joanne’s role is to connect colleagues to what we do at Trinity and why it matters. She manages T-Net, Trinity’s intranet, and uses the Weekly Wrap-Up and other communications channels to tell stories and keep people informed about what’s going on in the university. Joanne holds a MSc in Public Relations & Strategic Communications from DCU and previously led communications for high-profile projects in ESB.

Thomas Deane
Media relations officer
As media relations officer, Thomas works with Trinity’s researchers (primarily in the Faculty of STEM) to publicise their work via the media. He writes press releases, develops video and audio materials to complement research communications, and builds strong relationships with journalists and broadcasters. Thomas holds a Masters in Zoology and has over a decade of experience in science communication, as well as international experience as a journalist.

Ciara O'Shea
Media relations officer
Ciara works with researchers in the Faculty of Health Sciences to publicise their research and its translational and real-world impacts via engaging media stories. Building strong and lasting relationships with the national and international health sciences media is key to her role. With over two decades of experience in media/communications, she holds a Masters in Science Communication from Queen’s University and DCU, and a degree in Science from UCD.

Catherine O'Mahony
Media relations officer
Catherine O'Mahony is the spokesperson for the University. She interacts daily with national and international media, looking after corporate communications and issues management. A former journalist with several decades of experience in national media and overseas, Catherine has a Masters in English literature from UCC and a degree in German and English.

Fiona Tyrrell
Media relations officer
Fiona works with academics in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences to communicate their research and its impact. She advises and assists academics on how build relationships with media and helps them translate their research into engaging stories and expert comment for the general public. Prior to working in Trinity, Fiona worked as a journalist and in communications in the NGO sector. She holds a Masters in Communications and a degree in English and Philosophy.

Andreia Lasmar Coimbra
Social media officer
Andreia works with key social media platforms, creating and optimising digital content and campaigns, collecting insights, community engagement, monitoring campaigns with data analytics, and aligning digital communications with internal and external stakeholders. She holds a degree in Fashion Management and a PG Diploma in Marketing. Andreia previously worked with Trinity’s Academic Registry and has experience with e-Commerce and brand management.
