Scenario 3rd International Conference: Presence in Performative language teaching, learning and research

The School of Education, TCD, is hosting the third Scenario conference this year at Trinity College Dublin, from May 9-11, 2024, in collaboration with the Department of Theatre, University College Cork. The theme of the conference is 'presence', which will be explored through 100+ presentations and workshops, as well as live performances, with a focus on presence in performative teaching, learning, and research. This will be a multilingual conference, with papers presented in English, German and Italian.

The Scenario Project was established in 2007 at University College Cork by Prof Emeritus Manfred Schewe, UCC, and Prof Susanne Even, Indiana University. Its mission is nurturing the synergy between second language teaching and the performative arts. Since its foundation, Scenario has expanded into a vibrant community of language educators interested in performative language teaching. It hosts an academic journal, which publishes two issues per year, a book series, monthly events and research seminars.
