Social media

We manage and develop Trinity's central social media channels.

We provide guidance and support to administrators of university affiliated accounts and those considering setting up social media accounts. This includes support and advice in relation to

  • which channels would be in line with the school/area's objectives
  • branding guidelines including naming and visual identity
  • content curation and planning
  • channel administration in relation to the university's social media guidelines and policy
  • dealing with inappropriate posts, content and difficult queries
  • training

Social media is important in helping to promote education, research, academic freedom, and to highlight all that Trinity has to offer and the university’s impact and achievements.

Our social media guidelines outline how social media can be used for university related activities. You will find links to existing Trinity social media channels, details of the support available to help you get started and good practice guidelines, as well as the risks that can occur on social media. This information is important as social media can be the first point of contact with the university for many people.
