The Board of the Children's Research Centre is responsible for the strategic direction of the Centre. This includes:
- Ensuring that the Centre remains focussed on its objectives.
- Determining strategic direction.
- Ensuring that activities are directed in support of core objectives.
- Ensuring that resources are applied to the pursuit of objectives and that proper financial oversight is provided.
The Board is also responsible for publishing an annual report and accounts. It is composed of eight members, four of whom represent the College (including a staff nominee from the Centre) and four members external to the College. The Board meets at least three times a year.
