Registration Now Open!!! Join us from 30th November – 1st December 2023 for ‘The Many Lives of Medieval Manuscripts’ Symposium at Trinity College Dublin. The event aims to showcase manuscripts digitised as part of the ‘Manuscripts for Medieval Studies’ Project, supported by Carnegie Corporation of New York. 

page from a medieval manuscript with medieval art workThe ‘Manuscripts for Medieval Studies’ project aims to conserve, catalogue, digitise and share some of the most significant medieval manuscripts in the Library’s collection, including bibles, books of hours, chronicles, histories, psalters, and manuscripts with musical notation. The symposium will explore the many lifecycles of the Library’s medieval manuscripts, from their production and use by contemporaries to their present-day conservation, digitisation, and dissemination.

Speakers will include Professor James Clark (University of Exeter), Dr Laura Cleaver (University of London), Dr David Rundle (University of Kent), and Professor Ruth Karras (Trinity College Dublin).
