Styrofoam (Polystyrene) Recycling​

There are three designated Styrofoam (polystyrene) collection points now available across the University.

1.Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute (TBSI): Basement L -2, in the same area where clinical waste is collected.

2.Smurfit Institute / Panoz Institute: Outside the Smurfit and Panoz Institutes beside the other external waste bins

3.Trinity Translational Medicine Institute (TTMI):  Exit through the main entrance, the car park will be on your right. The bins are located at the far end of the car park, next to the other waste containers.

Important Information

• Each collection point contains a skip bag inside the bin. Please ensure all Styrofoam is placed inside the skip bag, as only the skip bag will be collected.

• Only Styrofoam should be placed in these bins. Any accompanying cardboard packaging must be disposed of in the appropriate recycling bins, not in the Styrofoam collection bins.
