Ruth Byrne, professor of cognitive science, has been awarded the 2025 Broadbent prize by the European Society for Cognitive Psychology. The Society’s highest honour, it is presented every two years to an outstanding senior scientist in cognitive psychology. She was invited to present the keynote Broadbent lecture at the Society’s biennial conference, held this year in the UK. Her talk on Tuesday evening September 2nd at the opening ceremony of the conference was on the topic ‘Imaginative Thought’.
