The Limerick Framework for Action, a new international roadmap to embed health and wellbeing across the higher education sector, was formally launched in Dublin this week. The Framework sets out a bold and coordinated vision for creating healthier, more inclusive and supportive learning environments across Ireland’s universities and colleges.

Trinity receives first philanthropic donation in cryptocurrency
The funds will be used to support Pathways to Business, a programme run by Trinity Business School and Trinity Access Programmes that bridges gaps for second-level and undergraduate students from underrepresented backgrounds, helping them pursue careers in business.

Trinity places 29th in world in 2026 QS sustainability ranking
Trinity’s Vice-President for Biodiversity and Climate Action Jane Stout said: “There are now a huge number of people across the whole university working towards a shared vision for a better future, including our student body, colleagues in Estates and Facilities, Academic Practice, the Library, Catering, the Health Service, as well as the academic schools. Trinity student delegates attend COP30 in Belém
Two delegates will represent Trinity at the 2025 United Nation Climate Change Conference (COP30), taking place in Belém, Brazil from 10-21 November. Trinity Sustainability gained observer status to the conference in 2023 and was allocated two in-person delegates and ten virtual delegates for 2025. Trinity’s representatives will access seminars, panels and networking opportunities, but not the negotiations.

Trinity student honoured at 2025 Hamilton Prize ceremony
Ronan Zaletel, an undergraduate in Trinity’s School of Mathematics, was honoured at the 2025 Hamilton Prize ceremony on 16th October – the day on which famed Trinity scientist William Rowan Hamilton discovered quaternion algebra in 1843.
