December 10, 2025, the "Vatican II - Event and Mandate" project team (of which
Massimo Faggioli is member of the steering committee since the beginning) met in Rome.
After the general audience in St. Peter's Square and before an informal meeting with the Prefect, Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, and Undersecretary Msgr. Paulin Batairwa Kubuya of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, the team briefly met with Pope Leo XIV to present the first volumes of the series (in English with Peeters, in German with Herder). Catherine Clifford and I presented the volume on North America and Australia-Oceania to the Pope.
