Music and Media Technology Information Session

Trinity College Dublin's School of Engineering is excited to announce the upcoming information session for our MPhil in Music and Media Technology, which will take place on 30th May, 2023 at 3pm, where you will have the opportunity to learn about our programme and meet our faculty members.

Are you passionate about music and the technology that brings it to life? Do you dream of a career where you can combine your love for music with cutting-edge media technology? If so, then our MPhil Music and Media Technology Information Session is perfect for you.

Our Music and Media Technology programme is designed to provide you with a unique blend of theory and hands-on experience, giving you the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in this exciting field. You'll learn about music production, audio engineering, interactive media, and much more, all while working with state-of-the-art equipment and software.

Our faculty members are renowned experts in their respective fields, with extensive experience in both academia and industry. They are committed to providing you with the highest quality education and mentorship, helping you to achieve your personal and professional goals.

MPhil in Music and Media Technology graduates have pursued careers in the arts as composers, musicians and performers in an extremely wide and diverse range of styles and genres. Many others have embarked on careers in education and academic research; digital signal processing; software and hardware development; audio engineering; sound design for gaming, film, theatre, and virtual reality; acoustics; video editing; TV and film production; and web design.

The Information Session will include:

  • 15:00 - 15:30
    • Programme Overview - Dr. Enda Bates, Deputy Course Director & Assistant Prof, Electronic & Elect. Engineering, will present information on the programme and the range of options and supports available for students.
  • 15:30 - 15:45
    • Hear from our graduates on what it is like to study at music and media technologies at Trinity College Dublin
  • 15:45 - 16:00
    • Q & A session
