Small change big difference

Health Week is all about getting the right amount of work, rest and play, eating good food and minding your health. Here are five changes we’d like you to think about. They all have the potential to offer great benefits to your health and well-being:

  • Rate your food hunger. On a scale of 1–5 (1 = starving, 5 = stuffed) aim to eat before you reach ‘1’ and stop eating before you reach ‘5’
  • Fit at least 30 minutes of exercise into today – walk or bike to work, start an exercise class, visit the gym or get involved in sport
  • Get your health checked out. You will know yourself whether you need to check your sexual health, heart health or bone health
  • Stay safe in the sun – schedule your travel vaccines with the Health Centre well in advance and invest in a high factor sunscreen!
  • ‘Learn to listen to the whispers of the body before it needs to shout at you’
