An industry leader in addressing safety, quality, reliability and improvement in organisations. We deliver Human Factors training to Aviation, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Engineering, Emergency Services, Defence Forces, Process Industries and other safety-critical organisations. Our Human Factors Training is based on our STAMINA Core Course model.

Risk-critical organisations are driven by the need to improve safety, efficiency, compliance, and mitigate against risk. Human Factors is an interdisciplinary area of psychology that focuses on human error, human capability, workplace safety and culture. Human Factors training can build on the tacit knowledge and experience of employees to explore how to deal effectively with risk-critical situations.

For example, in Aviation, the sector leads in developing innovative solutions to systemic safety and risk issues, through safety management and Human Factors. Whilst in Healthcare, there is a need to reduce the enormous cost of unnecessary death and serious injury through human error. Our philosophy is based on a dedication to developing human factors competence that extends beyond compliance with industry regulations.

CIHS offers a suite of Human Factors-related courses, grounded in cutting-edge research, by Senior Organisational Psychologists with an in-depth knowledge of the issues facing personnel in risk-critical industries. CIHS have established tools and methodologies which have been implemented, matured and refined within a cutting-edge research environment. The course was validated and tested through the research process in its original development, with the aim of developing top-quality human factors training.

Our 3-day Human Factors Training is based on our STAMINA Core Course model and was designed with a strong practical focus that aimed to provide knowledge of how Human Factors affect people, and how people and organisations can manage risk and improve performance.
