Introduction to Research Theme: Epidemiology, Addictions & Substance Misuse
The research of the group is transdisciplinary, working with external stakeholders to address real life health and wellbeing challenges using, where possible, existing data and novel modelling techniques. The groups’ research interests are in addiction, epidemiology, children, and research capacity building, including evidence reviews. Recent projects include school-based drug prevention evaluation, addiction nursing, children’s voices and their wellbeing, BCG vaccination, and the statistical modelling of the hidden prevalence and analysis of COVID-19 transmission.
