Professor Simon Wilson, in collaboration with the Centre for Innovative Human Systems in the School of Psychology, has been awarded a Marie Curie Industrial Fellowship with a perfect evaluation score of 100%.  The two-year grant will bring Dr. Mourad Chebila, currently at the University of Batna in Algeria, to TCD as a research fellow. The project will look at implementing state of the art Bayesian learning methods to risk assessment across the transport sector in Ireland. An important part of the fellowship are industry secondments with the likes of Irish Rail and Aer Lingus, where these methods can be applied and evaluated in practice.

Congratulations to Professor Wilson on this prestigious award. The School of Computer Science and Statistics looks forward to welcoming Dr Chebila as a research fellow.
