Job Description:

These positions offer ICT students an excellent opportunity in Revenue to gain relevant work experience in one of Ireland’s top Public Sector ICT environments embracing a wide range of sophisticated technologies. They will be engaged in a range of functions, including a) Software development on complex bespoke frameworks and business applications including Revenue’s award-winning Revenue On-Line Services (ROS) utilising Rich Internet applications and mobile apps. fusing ‘commercial off the shelf’ and open source components with these frameworks. b) Service oriented architecture development and database administration. C) Support for the development of ICT strategic and operational policy including input to the overarching eGovernment, information sharing and shared services agenda, conformance to international standards and benchmarks. A commitment to ongoing training and development and a lively interest in Information Technology generally will be essential for roles typically focused on ongoing technological service improvement and delivery.

Required:

Be enrolled in the penultimate or final year of a recognised honours degree in Information and Communications Technology or Engineering at least Level 8 of the National Framework of Qualifications – www.nfq.ie  (or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the Revenue Commissioners).

Desirable:

Have a strong Working knowledge of one or more of the following:

Job Conditions

The salary will be based on the Executive Officer starting point, which is currently €31,698 per annum.

Posts are based in Dublin, Limerick & Castlebar.


Hours of attendance will be 37 hours per week. Flexible working hours are available. The annual leave allowance for the period of the employment with Revenue will be based on a yearly rate of 23 days.
