Joseph Roche
Assistant Professor, Education


Dr Joseph Roche is an Astrophysicist and Assistant Professor in Science Education at Trinity College Dublin. He teaches "Science & Society" and "Communicating Science" on the Master in Science Education programme.

He has worked for NASA and observed symbiotic stars using the Hubble Space Telescope. He was also course coordinator of Trinity's Postgraduate Certificate in 21st Century Teaching and Learning from 2014-2018. He is based in the School of Education and is currently seconded to Science Gallery Dublin for 50% of his time.

Joseph welcomes queries from prospective Masters and PhD students who are interested in the following topics: informal science education, citizen science, and evaluating public engagement in science.
