Alan Dargan

Alan Dargan founded the London-based private equity firm Lonsdale Capital Partners in 2009. Lonsdale has a portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses in the UK and Europe.

He is also Chairman of Lansdowne Capital, an advisory firm he founded in 1997. Alan has worked in private equity and investment banking for over 40 years as managing director at both UBS and Credit Suisse in New York and London.

He graduated from Trinity College with a degree in Business Studies and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He is Chairman of the Advisory Board of Trinity College’s Student Managed Fund and was President of Trinity Rugby in 2014-2015.

Alan Foy

Alan Foy is Chairman and Managing Partner of VentureWave Capital – a venture capital and impact investment business. He is Chairman and former CEO of Blueface, a Comcast Business Company and member of the Senior Leadership Team. Blueface operates a proprietary technology platform and provides enterprise communications in Europe, North America and Asia. Alan was previously CEO of StarBlue (aka Star2Star Communications) and formerly
an Executive with one of Ireland’s leading investment firms, NCB Group (now Investec).

He also worked with Coyle Hamilton (now Willis). Alan was awarded an EY Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist Award in
the International Category and he is a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow. Alan is Chairman of the Ireland Funds in Ireland and a member of the Board of Endeavor Ireland. He is a member of YPO in Dublin, and Past President of the Trinity Business Alumni, former Business Student of the Year and he holds a first-class BBS, MA and M.Litt in Strategic Management.

Anke Heydenreich

Growing up in Germany, studying in Ireland, moving to the UK, and travelling extensively, Anke has always engaged in numerous social impact, biodiversity and sustainable development initiatives. Early in her career, she took a sabbatical to support local community development in Bolivia and, five years ago, with a young family, travelled across Asia. She has been a financial supporter across several cause areas, from homelessness to educational attainment for students growing up in disadvantaged areas. Most of her time currently is in setting up a Forest Charity to plant native trees in Ireland to increase biodiversity, CO2 drawdown, climate education and access to nature. Anke is the Co-founding partner of Attestor Capital, a value investment fund which manages over $7bn on behalf of large US universities and family offices. Prior to Attestor, she worked at several investment firms, including Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. She also currently sits on Trinity College Dublin's Provost Council and is a member of the Board of the Rediscovery Center Ireland.

Annrai O'Toole

Annrai O’Toole is CEO and Co-Founder of Utmost, which helps companies productively engage their entire workforce through the power of technology. Previously he was the Chief Technology Officer, EMEA, at Workday for ten years.

Prior to Workday, Annrai was a founder of two other technology companies: CEO at Cape Clear, acquired by Workday
in 2008 and Chief Technical Officer at IONA Technologies, founded in 1991.

Beate Schuler

Dr Beate Schuler graduated in medicine from the University of Tübingen in Germany. In 1981, she and her father founded the company Iropharm Ltd. in Arklow, Ireland, for the manufacture of bulk pharmaceutical ingredients and fine chemicals. In 1997, she sold Iropharm, which, by that time, employed 75 people and was FDA approved.

Today Beate lives in Germany and is dedicated to promoting education. She is mainly engaged with Trinity College and the University of Auckland, supporting research projects in both institutions. Beate was formerly a member of the Trinity College Foundation Advisory Board and the Trinity College Campaign Cabinet.

Brian Caulfield

Brian Caulfield is an entrepreneur and venture capitalist.

He is a venture partner and former managing partner at Draper Esprit, the leading publicly quoted venture capital firm. Prior to joining Draper Esprit, he was a partner at Trinity Venture Capital. His venture capital investments included Movidius, Graphcore, AePONA, ChangingWorlds, Clavis Insight and MTT. He previously co-founded Exceptis Technologies and Similarity Systems.

Brian sits on the boards of several technology and financial services businesses and is also a private investor/advisor in a number of early-stage technology companies. Brian graduated from Trinity with a degree in Computer Engineering and is the current Chairman of Scale Ireland and board member of TASC.

Carol Grigor

Carol Colburn Grigor is Chairman Emeritus and Board Member of the Colburn School and Chairman of the Colburn Foundation. She is President of Dunard Fund USA and a director of the Colburn Collection, the Colburn Music Fund, and Dunard Fund in the UK.

Grigor is a member of the Board of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, the Marlboro Music Festival and the Yale School of Music Board of Visitors. In August 2013, she was named Honorary Vice-President of the Edinburgh International Festival Society. Carol Grigor lives in Dublin and travels extensively for both philanthropic and business purposes.

Grigor’s contributions to classical music and the visual arts have been recognised with prestigious honours, including Commander of the British Empire (CBE). She is an inaugural recipient of the Prince of Wales Medal for Philanthropy and was admitted as a Chevalier into France’s Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.

Grigor is a pianist. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana School of Music and her Master of Musical Arts degree from Yale University School of Music. She also has received an Honorary Doctorate of Music from Edinburgh Napier University. She has had wide experience as a concertising artist and as a teacher.

Caroline Haughey

Caroline Haughey, a Trinity College law graduate, is a barrister at Furnival Chambers and prosecutes and defends across a wide variety of the most serious and high profile criminal cases. She has significant experience in a number of areas of health and safety law, regulatory work and associated areas such as inquests.

Caroline has developed a reputation for prosecuting and defending cases where ‘novel law’ and sensitive matters are in issue. She has a particular interest in human trafficking, organised crime, firearms, drugs and violence offences. Caroline is author of the Modern Slavery Review and was appointed to the Modern Slavery Task Force in September 2016.

Ciaran Lee

Ciaran Lee is a co-founder of Intercom, a leading customer messaging platform. He served as CTO from founding in 2011 until 2021, when he left to pursue other interests. He returned in 2023 as Chief Engineer.

Ciaran graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2004 with a degree in Computer Engineering. He is active in the Dublin startup scene. He has spent time helping out at the Dogpatch incubator in Dublin, and occasionally makes angel investments in promising startups. His work is largely driven by his passion for entrepreneurship and technological innovation.

Cliona Murphy

Cliona Murphy is Vice-President, Global Quality Assurance, PepsiCo. In this role, she is responsible for the quality policies & standards developed and deployed across the entire PepsiCo portfolio and for verifying and assuring compliance against them. Cliona also leads PepsiCo’s Million Women Mentor programme across the world.

Cliona joined PepsiCo in 1997 and has worked in a variety of R&D and Supply Chain leadership roles across
the PepsiCo system in Europe, the UK, China, Asia and Ireland.

Cliona is a Chartered Engineer with a Degree in Engineering from Trinity College Dublin and an MSc in Food, Nutrition
& Health from University College Dublin.

She is on the Steering Committee for the Global Food Safety Initiative and is a Director of Science Foundation Ireland.

Colm Duggan

Colm Duggan graduated from Trinity with a degree in law, and he also holds a master’s degree in law from the
London School of Economics.

He was a partner at Arthur Cox in Dublin for 26 years specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions.

Previously Head of the Corporate Department at Arthur Cox, Colm now works as an advisor to companies on mergers, acquisitions and disposals. Colm is chair of the Trinity Law School Advisory Board and the Trinity Alumni Awards Committee. He also acts as non-executive director and trustee.

Conor Killeen

is Chairman of Key Capital, a company which he founded in 2001. Prior to establishing Key Capital, he was Global Head of Equities and a Member of the Executive Committee of Dresdner Kleinwort. Before this, he held senior product and management positions at UBS and Schroders.

Danielle Ryan

Danielle Ryan is an actor and entrepreneur who spent her formative years living in Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Dublin and London.

Danielle studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London. In 2008, Danielle founded The Lir,
the National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Ireland with Trinity College in association with RADA.

Danielle works closely with UNICEF and has helped them with projects around the world, especially in Sri Lanka,
where she was the driving force behind a project to rebuild schools and hospitals after the civil war.

Danielle now sits on the board of the UNICEF International Council. She is the founder of ROADS Group,
an international fine fragrance brand, based in Dublin.

David McConnell

David McConnell is a graduate of Trinity College (1966) and Caltech (1970) and the author of more than 100 scientific papers. He was elected a member of the European Molecular Biology Organisation in 1976. An Eleanor Roosevelt Fellow at Harvard University (1976-77), he served as Professor of Genetics at Trinity College from 1990 to 2014 and served as Vice-Provost from 1999 to 2001.

He was Chairman and President of the Adelaide Hospital, President of the Zoological Society of Ireland, and Chairman of the Irish Times Trust. He is currently Honorary President of the Humanist Association of Ireland and President of the College Historical Society. He was elected Pro Chancellor of the University in 2016.

David Went

David Went is former Chair of the Irish Times Limited and the Financial Services Consultative Industry Panel. David sits on the Board of Trustees of the Mary Robinson Foundation and Covestone Asset Management. David served as Group Chief Executive of Ulster Bank Group, Coutts Group and Irish Life and Permanent plc, was a non-executive director of Goldman Sachs Bank (Europe) Ltd and VHI. He is a former Chair of Trinity Foundation and former Trustee Chair of Trinity Foundation.

Dermot Smurfit

Dermot Smurfit is Chairman of Lecta, a pan European paper manufacturing business and recently retired as Chairman of John Menzies plc, Aviation/Distribution and Chairman of AustroCel Hallein GmbH. He has spent over 40 years working in the paper and packaging industry mainly with Jefferson Smurfit Group Plc. In 2005, he became Chairman of Powerflute Oyj which was successfully floated on the London AIM market in 2007 and retired in December 2016.

Emma Goltz

Emma Goltz is a director of Hattington Property Management. She is a former management consultant with Bain and Company in San Francisco, and prior to that, she worked in banking in Dublin and London. She holds a BA (mod) in economics and mathematics from Trinity College and an MBA from INSEAD.

For the past twelve years, she has been actively involved in a wide range of non-profit organisations in the US, UK and Ireland, with a focus on fundraising and governance. She is currently the Vice-Chairman of INSEAD and Chair of the INSEAD Alumni Fund. She is also a board member of the Irish Museum of Modern Art and the Contemporary Art Society in London.

Eric Kinsella

Eric Kinsella is founder, majority shareholder and Executive Chairman of Jones Engineering Group, an international engineering construction group based in Dublin.

The group, currently employing over 2,000 people, also provides technical specialists, experienced supervisors and project management personnel on medium-term assignment to its international client base. Eric is also founder of Esprit Investments Ltd., an Irish investment and property development company and SARL Esprit du Midi, a French investment and property development company. He is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, London and an M.Sc. graduate of Trinity College, awarded in 1970.

Fergal Naughton

Fergal Naughton is CEO of Glen Dimplex, the largest electrical heating company in the world. He is a member of the Board of Trustees and the Ireland Council at the University of Notre Dame.

He was the Founding President of the British Irish Chamber of Commerce and is a trustee of the
Naughton Foundation, a charitable organisation which supports worthwhile causes in education.

Fergal is Chairman of the Provost’s Council.

Finlay Ross

Finlay Ross founded AquilaHeywood in 1998 and is now Chairman. The AquilaHeywood Group became the largest provider of life, pension and investment administration systems in the UK and Ireland and the fifth largest in Europe.

Finlay is a qualified actuary and has over 30 years’ experience in the Life and Pensions industry with significant experience in the development, implementation and running of large life and pensions administration systems.

He was brought up in Wicklow and is a graduate of Trinity College with degrees in Mathematics (1973) and Particle Physics (1974).

Fiona Thomas

Fiona Thomas is a shareholder of the Gowan Group and joined the Group Board in 1990. She graduated in 1987 with a B.B.S. degree from Trinity College and in 1993 with an MBA from INSEAD. She has also worked for McKinsey & Company and Elida Gibbs, a division of Unilever.

 

Gilliane Quinn de Schonen

Gilliane Quinn de Schonen is President and Managing Director of a chain of juice bars throughout France and Europe, operating under the Zumo brand. She was President of Network Irlande, the network of Irish professionals in France, which was created in 2010 following the initial Global Irish Network (GIN) meeting held in Farmleigh.

Gilliane was also a Director of Superquinn. Gilliane is presently the Chairperson of the Trinity College Association and Trust.

Jay Krehbiel

Jay Krehbiel is the President of KF Partners, LLC (KFP), a single-family office based in Chicago.

In this role, Jay chairs the board of directors and investment committee, overseeing day to day operations, client engagement and investment decisions. Jay also serves as Co-Chair of Hindman Auctions, a Chicago-based auction house with 140 employees in 12 cities across the United States. Prior to founding KFP, Jay was the Director of Business Development at Molex, Inc., a global manufacturer of electronic components, working in Shanghai and Chicago. 

Before joining Molex, Jay was an Associate Director of Pacific Equity Partners, an Australia and New Zealand focused private equity firm, based in Sydney, Australia. Jay started his career at Bain & Company, the global consultancy, working in the Chicago & New York City offices. Jay is a Trustee of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he serves as Treasurer & Chair of the Finance Committee and as a member of the Executive Committee. Jay is also a Trustee of The Taft School in Watertown, CT. Jay received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA from Dartmouth College. Jay lives in Chicago with his wife, Silvia, their daughter, Anthea, and son, August.

John Daly

John S. Daly is a co-founder of 25madison – a venture studio focused on investing in early stage start-ups and incubating companies from the ground up. He is the former Chairman of Global Equity Capital Markets (ECM) at Goldman Sachs, where he spent 32 years. He started in the Investment Banking Division (IBD) and served on the Firmwide Commitments Committee and the IBD Americas Operating Committee. He was head of the Americas ECM Group and held various leadership positions in the Financing Group, both in Hong Kong and New York.

John is a member of the Provost’s Council and the Advisory Board of Trinity College Business School.

He also serves as a Board member of the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Foundation and the Irish Arts Centre in New York. John graduated with a B.A.I. in Engineering and a B.A. in Mathematics from Trinity College and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

John Macken

John Macken held the positions of President, CEO and Director of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd (Turquoise Hill Resources) during his tenure between 2003 and 2012.

Prior to joining Ivanhoe, John spent 19 years with Freeport McMoran Copper and Gold, most recently as Freeport’s Senior Vice-President of Strategic Planning and Development.

John also served as Chairman of SouthGobi Energy Resources. As a member of the original Trinity College Engineering Board, John has been advising on the College’s E3 plans.

Leo Chuang

Dr Leo Chuang is a director of Lap Heng Investment Co. Ltd., a family owned company with real estate holdings in Hong Kong, Vancouver, Sydney and London. He was Managing Director of Lap Heng Co. Ltd., a publicly traded company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Leo graduated from Trinity College Medical School in 1972. He is currently on the board of governors of the Caritas Institute of Higher Education in Hong Kong.

Louisa Leventis

The A.G. Leventis Foundation is a foundation with the aim to support educational, cultural, artistic and philanthropic causes in Cyprus, Greece and elsewhere. Established in 1979, its activities range from the reconstruction of a large number of classical, Byzantine, and post Byzantine monuments, and the enrichment and presentation of Cypriot antiquities collections in museums around the world, to the systematic granting of scholarships, and sponsorship of nature conservation and sustainable development projects in Southern Europe, Africa and world-wide.

Martin Frank

Martin Frank is CEO of the SchuF Fetterolf group of companies. SchuF, headquartered in Germany, is an international industrial valve company that specialises in the design and manufacture of process critical valves. The company has design and manufacturing centres in Germany, USA, UK, Ireland, India and Italy. As a member of the original Trinity College Engineering Board, Martin has been advising on the College’s E3 plans.

Martin Naughton

Martin Naughton is Chairman, Supervisory Board, of Glen Dimplex Group, the largest manufacturer of electrical heating appliances in the world, which he founded in 1973. Martin served for seven years as a member of the Irish Council of State and is the past Chairman of Intertrade Ireland.

Martin is on the Advisory Board of Citi Private Bank for Europe and the Middle East. He is a Knight of the British Empire (K.B.E.) and was honoured by the French Government, becoming an Officier of the Légion d’Honneur. Martin received an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from Trinity College in 1995 and is a former Trustee Emeritus of Notre Dame University. Martin has made several philanthropic gifts to the educational and arts sectors, including the Naughton Institute, Trinity College, the Martin Naughton Chair in Business Strategy at Queen’s University Belfast, and the National Gallery of Ireland.

Mike Peirce

Mike Peirce graduated from Trinity College’s School of Engineering in 1964 and then moved to ICI in the UK. He returned to Trinity and was awarded a Ph.D in 1976. Mike established one of the first campus companies at Trinity in 1978 and subsequently became the Managing Director of Mentec Ltd.

Mike has been actively involved in numerous high-technology start-ups in Ireland, including Parthus, Mentor Capital, Vedia, Iontas and Amiba. A member of the original Trinity College Engineering Board, Mike has been advising on the College’s E3 plans and is Chair of the E3 Steering Group.

Patrick O'Sullivan

Patrick O’Sullivan was Chairman of Saga Group plc until 2020. He was Chairman of Old Mutual from 2010- 2018 and prior to that was Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ireland from 2011 to 2015. Patrick is a former Chairman of the UK’s Shareholder Executive, Chairman of ERS (Syndicate 218) Limited at Lloyds of London and a former Senior Independent Director at Man Group.

He was Vice Chairman of Zurich Financial Services between 2007 and 2009 where he had specific responsibility for its international businesses. Earlier in his career, Patrick had been CFO of the ZFS Group and CEO of Eagle Star Insurance Company. He held positions at Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Financial Guaranty Insurance Company and Barclays/BZW. He was educated at Trinity College and the London School of Economics.

Paul Coulson

Paul Coulson graduated from Trinity College with a business degree in 1973. He spent five years with Price Waterhouse in Dublin and London qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1978.

In 1980, he established his own accounting firm before setting up Yeoman International and developing it into a significant leasing and structured finance business.

In 1998, he became Chairman of Ardagh and initiated the transformation of Ardagh into a leading global packaging company. Over the past 30 years he has been involved in the creation and development of a number of businesses including Fanad Fisheries, a leading Irish salmon farming company, and Sterile Technologies.

Paul Drechsler

Former President of Confederation of British Industry, Paul is Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC/UK), Independent Director Schroder &Co, and President of Society of Chemical Industry (SCI).

Senior business leadership roles included; Chairman of Bibby Line Group, Chairman & Chief Executive of Wates Group, Executive Director of ICI Plc, Senior Non-executive Director of Essentra Plc, Non-Executive Director Greencore Plc., Chairman of BusinessLDN (London First).

Prior to joining Wates, Paul spent 24 years with ICI PLC, holding senior / Board positions and living in the UK, Brazil, the USA and the Netherlands.

He was previously Chancellor Teesside University, Chairman Teach First, Chairman of UK Skills Funding Agency Advisory Board, Director of Business in the Community, The Princes Trust (Construction Council), and TCD Provost’s Council and TCD Business School Advisory Board.

Paul is an Engineering graduate from the University of Dublin, Trinity College. He received The Presidential Distinguished Service Award for the Irish Abroad in 2019. He is married to Wendy; they have three children.

Paul Johnston

Paul Johnston is Chairman of Exponent, Inc., an engineering and scientific consulting firm headquartered in California with offices in the United States, Europe and Asia.

He joined the company in 1981, became Chief Operating Officer in 2003 and was Chief Executive Officer from 2009 until 2018. Paul was previously a member of the Stanford School of Engineering Advisory Council and the Trinity College Engineering Board.

He graduated from Trinity College with an engineering degree, where he was elected a scholar the prior year, and went on to earn M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in engineering at Stanford University.

Pradeep Kar

Pradeep Kar is the Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Microland Limited. Microland guides enterprises in adopting Next-Gen technologies. Headquartered in Bangalore, India, Microland is a 34-year-old, globally-engaged technology infrastructure services provider with 4,500+ digital-savvy technologists across offices and delivery centres in Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

A serial entrepreneur, Pradeep has founded and sold three technology companies, namely, Indya.com (sold to Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation), Planetasia.com (India's first Internet Professional Services Company) and Net Brahma Technologies. In 1999, the World Economic Forum recognized Pradeep as a 'Global Leader for Tomorrow' as an acknowledgement of his leadership in the Indian IT industry.

From 2006 through 2016, Pradeep served as a Non-Executive Director on the board of UBM plc - a leading business-to-business events organizer listed on the London Stock Exchange. Pradeep was on the Board of Telstra Telecommunications, India, from 2011 to 2021.

Additionally, Pradeep has served as the First Chairman of the Governing Council of Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore, for five years. Pradeep was also the President of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE), Bangalore Chapter. Pradeep is the founding member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Bangalore Chapter.

His drive and talent were recognized and appreciated quite early in his career. He is a proud recipient of the 'Young Business Achiever Award' from The Indian Express. He was also featured in the esteemed Newsweek and Business India as one of the 'Stars of Asia'.

Pradeep holds a postgraduate degree in Management and a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Richie Boucher

Richie Boucher spent 37 years of his career in banking roles in Ireland, the UK and the USA including Group CEO of Bank of Ireland from 2009 to 2017.

He is currently Chairman of CRH plc and a non-executive director of Kennedy Wilson inc. Richie was born and received his schooling in Southern Africa and graduated from Trinity College with a BA (Mod Econ) in 1980.

 

Sean Reynolds

Sean Reynolds is Managing Director and a Senior Portfolio Manager overseeing the Rathmore Alternative Investment Funds, at Lazard Asset Mgmt., New York. He has been the recipient of several awards including the Absolute Returns Arbitrage Fund of the Year in 2010. Prior to Lazard, he worked as a portfolio manager for convertible arbitrage strategies at SAC Capital Management and held a similar position at the Clinton Group.

He has also worked at Deutsche Bank, UBS Securities and Merrill Lynch. Sean is a board member of the Huntsman International Advisory Board, University of Pennsylvania; the US Advisory Board of Trinity College; Advisory Board Member of the U.S. 69th Regiment, “The Fighting Irish”; and Council Member of the GLF, President de Klerk’s Global Leadership Foundation. Sean has a BA in Mathematics and BAI in Engineering from Trinity College and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Sheelagh O'Neill

A History graduate of Trinity College, Sheelagh subsequently worked in Ireland, Australia, and the UK.

With interests in education, culture and the environment, she has served on the Board of the Abbey Theatre,
the Arts Council of Ireland, and as a Trustee of Lessons for Life Foundation.

Sheelagh is an active investor, currently focused on building a portfolio of impact investments.

She supports scholarships and initiatives in Ireland, the UK, and Africa. She has an interest in reforestation and has replanted her first piece of land.

Síle McGuckian-Fitzpatrick

Síle McGuckian Fitzpatrick graduated with a law degree from Trinity College Dublin in 1988. She obtained a master’s degree in 1989 and a doctoral degree in law in 2004 both from Oxford University where she attended Balliol College. She was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 1991 and practiced as a barrister in London. She was admitted to the Bar of the State of New York in 1995 and worked as an attorney at the law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton.

In 1998 she returned to Ireland. After completing her doctorate, she lectured in the law of evidence in University College Dublin. She was a director of Sonas Housing Association from 2010 until 2016. She has been a member of the Development Council of the UCD Sutherland School of Law since 2011, and of the Trinity College Dublin Trust and Association since 2017. She obtained an MLitt degree in 2016 and a PhD in 2023 in history from University College Dublin. Since 2020 she has been an adviser on nineteenth century administrative and legal history to the Virtual Treasury of Ireland project in Trinity College Dublin.

Stanley Quek

Dr Stanley Quek is the Executive Chairman of Region Development Pte Ltd, a Singapore property development company founded by him in 1987. Region Development has successfully developed residential projects in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom over the past 28 years.

He is also the Executive Chairman of Greencliff Holdings Pty Ltd in Australia and Sterling Realty Ltd in the United Kingdom. Stanley is a former medical practitioner having studied at Trinity College and was the Irish Honorary Consul General representing Ireland in Singapore from 1994 to May 2000 and is presently the Chairman of The Singapore Ireland Fund. He was elected as the 61st Pro-Chancellor of the University of Dublin in 2018.

Stephen Vernon

Stephen Vernon was, until recently, Chairman of Green Property Ltd having previously been Managing Director. Under Stephen’s Chairmanship, in 2013, Green Property REIT Ventures listed the first real-estate investment trust to float on the Irish Stock Exchange. It was sold to Henderson Park Capital in 2019. The company experienced exponential growth having assembled one of the largest portfolios of prime office, logistics and development assets.

Stephen became a partner in St Quintin Chartered Surveyors in 1981 and was appointed managing partner in 1987. He was a Fellow of the Royal institution of Chartered Surveyors and has held numerous non-executive positions on the boards of regulated entities and listed companies.

He currently serves on the executive committee of the Governors of the National Maternity Hospital and was named Ireland’s national Philanthropist of the Year by The Community Foundation in February 2020. Stephen is the chairman and principal of The John Pollard Foundation and a director of Staycity.

Stuart Coulson

Stuart Coulson is an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University’s D School and a Lecturer at the Graduate School of Business, where he leads the Design for Extreme Affordability program. Student teams develop products and services to tackle poverty in the developing world. Projects and startups emerging from the program have affected the lives of more than 100 million people so far.

Stuart is an investor in and advisor to early stage technology and social impact organizations in Silicon Valley and Ireland. He sits on the board of Tangent and is a founding member of Trinity Angels and the LaunchBox incubator programme. He also grows old-vine Zinfandel grapes and enjoys regularly quality testing the resulting award-winning wines. Stuart’s background is in software development, data communications and travel reservations systems.

His previous roles include senior leadership in some of the world’s largest travel technology companies and several startups. He co-founded Gradient Solutions, a pioneer in webbased travel e-commerce, acquired by Sabre. Stuart holds a BA (Mod.) in Computer Science from Trinity College, an MBA from the University of Geneva and an EMBA from the Tepper Business School, Carnegie Mellon University.

Susannah McAleese

Susannah McAleese is a partner at Attestor Capital. She joined the London-based investment manager in 2014
and is a senior member of the investment team.

Prior to working at Attestor, Susannah worked for a number of different London-based financial institutions
since 2000, including Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Lloyds Bank.

She also spent time during 2005 and 2006 working with CIPPEC, an independent think tank, based in Buenos Aires.

Susannah is a member of the board of Inner City Enterprise, a not-for-profit charity set up to advise and assist unemployed people in Dublin’s inner city.

Susannah holds a diploma in corporate finance from London Business School (2004), and a degree in Economics and Business from Trinity. She previously served as a Trustee of Trinity’s UK Trust.

Tadhg Flood

Tadhg Flood is a partner at Centerview Partners based in London. He graduated in 1994 with a B.B.S. degree from Trinity College.

Prior to joining Centerview, Tadhg was the Global co-head of the Financial Institutions Group at Deutsche Bank
and also previously worked for J.P. Morgan.

Tadhg was nominated a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum from 2010 to 2015.

Tara Doyle

Tara Doyle is the Chairperson of Matheson, where she has been a partner for over 20 years. She specialises in financial services law and is currently the Head of the Asset Management and Investment Funds Department at Matheson. Tara is also a member of the Steering Committee for Matheson's Impactful Business Programme.

Tara is a former Chair of the Irish Funds Industry Association and currently Chairs its ESG Policy, Legal and Regulatory Working Group. She is a member of the Council of the Law Society of Ireland and of the Implementation Group for Ireland for Law, the Irish government's international legal services strategy.

Tara holds an LLB from Trinity and an LLM in International Business Law from the London School of Economics.

 

Terry Gallagher

Terry Gallagher is a retired IT executive who spent most of his career in the United States, principally in New York and Chicago. Terry was educated at O’Connell Christian Brothers Schools and attended Trinity College in the 1970s graduating with degrees in Mathematics and Physics. Post retirement, Terry obtained graduate degrees in Financial Markets and Finance from Illinois Institute of Technology. Terry is a former Trustee of Trinity Foundation.

 

Terry Neill

Terry Neill is a graduate (maths & physics) of Trinity, which also recognised his work with the Arts & Humanities with an honorary doctorate (D.Litt). He has an MBA from London Business School, where he was also a Governor for 13 years.

His 30 years with Andersen Worldwide/Accenture were spent in Dublin, Chicago and London. He was chair of the worldwide board of Andersen/Accenture and a global managing partner of Accenture’s change management practice. He was chair of Co-Operation Ireland in Britain, and has continued to play an active role in various strands of peace and reconciliation across Ireland.

Since returning to Ireland in 2004, he has been a Director of CRH plc, Bank of Ireland Group, UBM plc, Camerata Ireland and Wexford Festival Opera. He also chaired technology companies in Britain and Finland. He has been a member of the Provost’s Cabinet and Provost’s Council since their inceptions.

He was a contributing author to the Harvard book: “Breaking the Code of Change”. Since 2020, he has been an advisor to CASE - The Council for the Advancement & Support of Education, which some 4,000 of the world’s leading universities – including Trinity - see as their emerging professional body for Advancement/Development..

William Sargent

William, a business studies graduate from Trinity College, cofounded Framestore in 1986.

He has been part of Framestore’s rise from an award-winning commercials house to world-renowned film VFX and animation company. Now, as Framestore Company 3, based in the UK, USA, Canada, India and Australia, the company is a global leader and has won all the major creative awards, including Oscars, BAFTAs, D&AD, and Emmys in every country and field in digital storytelling.

Alongside Framestore William also served as Permanent Secretary Regulatory Reform Cabinet Office,
Board Director of HM Treasury, Council member of UKRIs Innovate agency, and governor of the Southbank Centre.

William received a CBE in 2004 and was knighted by the Queen in 2008.

Yvonne Le Bas

Yvonne Le Bas has 28 years commercial experience across Financial Services, Property, and Oil sectors in Australia
and Internationally. Yvonne first joined Westpac Group in 2007 and has held a number of executive roles.

In February 2016 she was appointed as Chief Financial Officer to the wealth management arm of the Westpac Group. Yvonne is a Fellow of the Australian and England & Wales Chartered Accountants and a Fellow of the Australian
Institute of Company Directors.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Studies and Master of Art from Trinity College, Graduate Management Qualification from AGSM. Yvonne has a strong interest in education and development and serves as a member of the Loreto Kirribilli School Board and Finance Committee and is Chairperson of The Ireland Funds Australia, part of the Worldwide Ireland Funds.
