Frank oversees the management of all the facilities in the department. He can be contacted in relation to laboratory and field queries, maintenance and procurement.

ELAINE TREACY – Chief Technical Officer Specialist (Room 0.9B Museum Building)
Elaine deputises for the Chief Technical Officer and is the main point of contact for technical queries in Geography.
Elaine has responsibility for:
- Departmental procurement
- Technical budgeting and spending queries
- Facilities management
- Departmental space management (office and laboratory space)
- Management of the Mastersizer 3000 particle size analyser
- Management of departmental microscopes
- Fire warden
- Occupational first aid

JAMES CANAVAN - Senior Technical Officer (Room B8A, Museum Building)
Jas manages the laboratories and field equipment for Geography. He has responsibility for:
- Day to day management of laboratories and field equipment
- Technical assistance for research students (undergraduate and postgraduate)
- Technical assistance for laboratory and field teaching
- Laboratory and field equipment booking and borrowing
- Sample and equipment storage
- Management of specialised field equipment (e.g. Trimble GNSS, Getac field tablets, drone, current meters)
- Safety advisor
- Fire warden

ORLA SHERIDAN - Technical Officer (Room B6, Museum Building)
Orla provides support for GIS and Remote Sensing in Geography. She has responsibility for:
- Technical assistance for research students (undergraduate and postgraduate) in GIS and Remote Sensing
- Technical assistance for GIS and Remote sensing teaching
- Technical assistance for laboratory and field teaching
- Assistance with specialised field equipment (e.g. Trimble GNSS, Getac field tablets)
