TATEM

TATEM is a research and development project funded by European Commission under the sixth Framework Programme. Titled Technologies and Techniques for New Maintenance Concepts, or TATEM, the project embraces the ambitious goal of validating and integrating hardware, software and methodologies to form a health management approach that could reduce airline maintenance costs by 20 percent in five to 10 years and by 50 percent in 10 to 15 years.

A dedicated Ground Crew support work package researched how the envisaged technology step change would impact on the operational processes of the maintenance system and developed dedicated capabilities in form of methods and tools, including decisions support and embedded training.
