About the Project
This study was designed to build on previous research on school-based sex education in Ireland. It aimed to investigate national levels of RSE implementation and to examine the structures, process and outcomes of RSE implementation and delivery at national (Department of Education & Science, Department of Health and Children), regional and local (school) level. The research will identified barriers and facilitators to RSE implementation and delivery at policy and practitioner levels.
Timescale and final products of the research
The study was completed in July 2006. The report was launched by the Minister for Education, Mary Hanfin T.D. on Tuesday, 13th March, 2007.
