The new version of Trinity Live went live on 31 August 2026. We are working on issues as they arise and developing further improvements.

IMPROVED - Additions and enhancements to Campus Map

Opening times and contact details for many locations have now been added directly to the campus map. This presents key information in a searchable index without the need to browse 'Student Services'. Included are details for all campus gates, cafes, restaurants and key offices, e.g security, IT services, etc.

  • Modification: Content updates.
  • Action: Released to app on 15 October.

MODIFIED - Navigation in Student Services

The navigation listing in Student Services was consolodated into a single list. The purpose is to assess whether this improves findability of content. (The navigation list remains restricted to A-Z list only. This will be rectified in a future release.)

  • Modification: Navigation sequence change.
  • Action: Released to app on 6 October.

FIXED - App login failing for some students

Login sequence had been failing for a small number of students.

  • Fix: Patch developed for specific instances.
  • Action: Patch released to app on 28 September.

FIXED - Barcodes now appearing in student ID

A fix to missing barcodes from some student ID cards has been implemented. Affected students could not use the app to access the library, etc.

  • Fix: Barcoded reinstated.
  • Action: Patch re-released to app on 28 September.

FIXED- Multiple corrections to the campus map

Many map locations were missing, or had incorrect titles and incorrect geo-cords.

  • Fix: Multiple map changes implemented including new locations, new photos, many geo-cords added or corrected.
  • Action: Released 28 September. More to follow.

FIXED - AM/PM timestamp in timetable now displaying correctly

If a lecture starts at 11 and extends into PM, the timestamp for the finish time remains AM. For example, 11AM to 1PM shows as 11AM to 1AM.

  • Fix: Update timestamps.
  • Action: Fix released to app stores 10 September.

FIXED - Timetable 'persistance' on the homescreen removed

An event in 'Today's Timetable' may persist on homescreen. May require 2 taps to remove the event.

  • Fix: Remove persistence of timetable events from homescreen.
  • Action: Fix released to app stores 10 September.

FIXED - Correct video aspect ratio applied to Android devices

Loading video appears horizontally stretched on some Android devices.

  • Fix: Reset aspect ratio for Android.
  • Action: Fix released to app stores 10 September.

ONGOING - Counterintuitive navigation in the app 'Menu'

Description

  • App 'menu' not behaving as expected.
  • 'Menu' sometimes appears to require 2 taps to open.
  • Previously visited screens persist in the 'menu'.
  • Fix: Menu to be redeveloped to apply correct behaviour.

Action

  • Root cause of the counterintuitive behaviour is now understood.
  • Re-development of 'menu' to be scheduled.

  • Discovery now underway.

ISSUE - Book renewal facility missing from the Library

Description

  • Book renewal was permitted in the previous version of Trinity Live.
  • New app has removed that facility.
  • Fix: Reapply mechanism to allow for book renewal.

Action

  • Root cause of issue is currently being investigated.

  • To be arranged.

ISSUE - Trinity College staff login disabled in the new app

Description

  • Staff login was permitted in the previous version of Trinity Live.
  • New app has blocked staff login.
  • Fix: Reapply mechanism to allow staff login.

Action

  • Root cause of the block on access is currently being investigated.
