Michèle is an Assistant Professor in Inclusion, Intellectual Disability and Special Education in the Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disability (TCPID) within the School of Education, TCD. She is a co-ordinator for the well-established Certificate in Arts, Science and Inclusive Applied Practice (ASIAP) Level 5 programme.

Michèle recently joined TCPID having been an Assistant Professor in Organisational Psychology at the National College of Ireland since 1999.


She has a wide range of experience of programme design, development and leadership; has lectured on modules in psychology, business and education; and has undertaken research supervision with undergraduate and postgraduate students. In addition, Michèle has worked in Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art Design and Technology (IADT), Griffith College Dublin (GCD), and the College of Marketing and Design, now part of TUD.

Michèle holds a BA(Hons) in Psychology and an MA in Social and Organisational Psychology from University College Dublin (UCD). In recent years she completed the Doctorate in Education (D.Ed.) programme in TCD, and her research study explored emotional intelligence and attitudes and intentions towards inclusion among a sample of Irish primary school teachers.

Michèle is committed to widening access and inclusion to education and employment for all through her practice and research focus.
