Researchers at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Trinity College Dublin, in collaboration with Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise, are inviting ethnic minority and migrant women to take part in an anonymous online survey about their experiences of maternity care in Ireland.

This study aims to better understand how maternity services are experienced by women from diverse ethnic and migrant backgrounds, and to identify what is working well and where improvements are needed. Your voice is important and can help shape more inclusive and responsive maternity services in Ireland.

The survey is open to women who:

  • are aged 18 years or over
  • identify as an ethnic minority (e.g. Irish Traveller, Black, Asian, Arab, Roma, Mixed ethnicity) and/or migrant (any white background excluding White Irish)
  • have used maternity services in the Republic of Ireland within the past two years

Taking part involves completing a short, anonymous questionnaire about your background, your pregnancy and birth experience, and your views on maternity care. No identifying information will be collected.

The survey is available in four languages: English, Brazilian Portuguese, Ukrainian, and Arabic.

Your feedback will contribute to research aimed at improving services, supports, and policies for ethnic minority and migrant women in Ireland.
