Dr Niamh Mulryan

Niamh Mulryan MD MSc MRCPsych MCPsychI, is a psychiatrist in clinical practice. Having graduated from TCD in 1989, Niamh entered specialist training in psychiatry. During her training she developed an interest in the application of information technology in medical care, resulting in an MSc in Health Informatics from TCD. She completed higher specialist training in both general adult psychiatry and psychiatry of intellectual disability before commencing work with the Daughters of Charity Disability Support Services (Dublin) in 2006.

In 2011, Niamh was appointed Clinical Director to the DOCDSS and sits as an executive member to the service. Publications have included papers and chapters on areas of intellectual disability, mental health, forensic psychiatry and ageing. Niamh was recently awarded an MD from TCD, her thesis derived from the IDS-TILDA study reported on sleep in persons with an intellectual disability.
