Dr Helena Bergstrom is an occupational therapist and public health scientist, within the field of health promotion and intellectual disabilities. She has developed and/or evaluated several health interventions targeting people with intellectual disabilities, but also school children. Helena now work as a project member within the Swedish project "Hälsan spelar roll" - an adaptation of the HealthMatters program, which is now evaluated in a Swedish context. Helenas research focus is intervention research, community nutrition, physical activity and health equity. She has a long experience in qualitative methods and in conducting interviews with the target group.
