Eva is a registered nurse specialized in intellectal disability with more than 30 years clinical experience from working with health care and within schools serving people with intellectual disability. She is the designer of several programmes for better health among people with intellectual disabilities of all ages. Eva is the program leader of HealthMatters program, Swedish version "Hälsan spelar roll".
Evas research focus on health and good living conditions promoting improved health literacy and equity for people with intellectual disabilities all ages and in daily life’s different contexts; health promotion, access to health care, development of tools, register studies on mortality as well as prevalence of common diseases such as diabetes. Access to an improved health and a more physical and meaningful daily life on own terms is central throughout her work.
