Biography
Eilish is a CORU registered occupational therapist. She joined the Discipline of Occupational Therapy in Trinity College Dublin in 2021. Since qualifying as an occupational therapist from Trinity College Dublin, Eilish has worked in a variety of services supporting people with intellectual disabilities across the lifespan. She has worked across school-age teams, and in innovative services supporting young adults with intellectual disabilities to avail of meaningful educational and work opportunities. Eilish holds a Masters by Research from Trinity College Dublin. Her research examined engagement in daily life activities of adults ageing with intellectual disabilities. Her primary research interest areas pertain to intellectual disability and ageing, transition to adulthood, and inclusive education opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities.
