The School of English Staff and Postgraduate Seminar Series
Two in-person research presentations as part of the School of English Staff-Postgraduate Seminar Series 2022-23. Today's seminars will feature Dr Erik Ketzan presenting 'The Other Side of The Great Divide: The Anxiety of Prestige in Popular Fiction.' and Dr James Baxter presenting 'Mass-market modernism and the ‘big little’ magazine: from New World Writing (1951-964) to New American Review (1967-1977).' The Staff-Postgraduate Seminar Series is a fortnightly meeting which has been integral to the School of English research community since the 1990s. The aim of the seminar series is to provide a relaxed and convivial atmosphere for staff and students to present their research to their peers. The series also welcomes distinguished guest lecturers from the academic community outside Trinity College to present on their work. It is a fantastic opportunity to share ideas and engage with the diverse research taking place within the School. The series conveners for the academic year 2022-23 are current PhD students Ginevra Bianchini, Tony Flynn, and Elizabeth MacBride. Please indicate if you have any access requirements, such as ISL/English interpreting, so that we can facilitate you in attending this event. Contact: staffpostgraduate2022@gmail.com
