Date: 10 January 2023
Time: 14:00 - 16:00

Targeted at Academics & Researchers, priority will be given to assistant professors on the development programme.

Storytelling for Impact Master Class Basic storytelling: Every story needs action, emotion and a moral if you want people to pay attention and remember it. Tell a basic story about yourself and your work. Talk about your ideas in story form and use the patterns and ingredients of fictional stories to tell compelling factual stories about your work.

  • Understand your audience.
  • Who are you trying to reach?
  • How do you adapt your message or explain technical subjects to non-experts.
  • Storytelling as a way of working
  • How stories can help you influence people and change the culture of your organisation/team.
  • How to build storytelling into your organisation.
Delivered by Steve Rawling, International author, BBC Academy Trainer and former BBC journalist who helps people come up with new ideas and tell brilliant stories about their work.
