Mathematica Introductory Training
Mathematica is an integrated environment for scientific and engineering computation. It is available to all students and staff at Trinity College Dublin. Training sessions are offered to introduce the technology and teach you how to apply it to your own research problems. The sessions will start with the basics of Wolfram Language (assuming no prior knowledge) and a brief introduction to the breadth of available computation, from PDE modelling to network analysis and from image processing to time-series analysis. Specific areas that will be covered in sufficient depth for practical application will include statistics, machine learning, visualization, as well as writing high-performance, robust code and deploying interactive computational applications. Three sessions will be available throughout the day at different locations on campus. Each session will cover the same material and include time to ask questions and discuss your own research problems with the lecturer. An optional hands-on training session will be held later in the day in East End Computer Labs 1 and 2.
