Inaugural International Adult Safeguarding Conference

The School of Nursing & Midwifery is delighted to host the Inaugural International Adult Safeguarding Conference. This Health Research Board-funded conference explores current issues in safeguarding adults in Ireland and internationally. The conference will enable attendees the opportunity to participate actively with the presenters during the keynote presentations and concurrent sessions. We are especially pleased to welcome our international keynotes Dr Yongjie Yon, World Health Organisation; Professor Thomas Goergen, German Police University, Muenster, Germany and Professor Gillian Manthorpe, NIHR Policy Research Unit in Health and Social Care Workforce, King’s College London. The conference is free-of charge to attend however pre-booking is required. Light refreshments and lunch will be provided for attendees. Delegates may choose to attend in-person or online. For those attending online, please note that the sessions taking place in Lecture Theatre 0.32 only will be streamed live.
