Contemporary Czech literature
This event is devoted to the work of Petra Hůlová, a leading Czech writer, and Alex Zucker, possibly the best contemporary translator from Czech. It is a rare opportunity to meet them both in a seminar type discussion, moderated by Dr Jana Fischerova from Trinity's Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies. In addition to discussing both guests’ work, we shall focus on Petra Hůlová’s recent book Stručné dějiny hnutí, a dark, funny dystopian novel, which Alex Zucker has translated into English as The Movement.
