BAQONDE project international showcase

The BAQONDE project, co-financed by the European Union, is working to develop the use of African languages in higher education in South Africa. This online showcase will examine how North-West University is fostering the use of African languages amongst Engineering and Health Science students. It will also present the project's new digital repository of African language resources for Higher Education. Facilitated by TCD's Prof. Lorna Carson, this event will also showcase the BAQONDE project's new online digital repository of African language resources. With special guest speakers Ayanda Nzo, Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, and Marilize Deventer, Academic Medical Interpreter, Languages Directorate, North-West University.
