Dates: Thursday 29 and Friday 30 May 2025
Times: 09.00 to 17.00 Thursday, 10.00 to 15.30 Friday
Location: Trinity Long Room Hub, Trinity College Dublin
This two-day international symposium is organised by the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies and the School of Creative Arts.
It will bring together scholars from across the humanities and social sciences working on failure who seek to find alternative narrative modes of speaking about the subject to the dominant redemptive lens. Rather than seeing failure as a stepping stone to success, a moral victory, or a learning moment worth suffering, participants will ask who gets to tell (and be heard telling) stories of failure - and how.
The symposium full schedule and tickets are available here.
Further details are also available on the Trinity Long Room Hub website here.
