Accommodation is available for staff, guests and official visitors to College.

Official Guests

Official visitors to College departments and societies can stay for a short period of time in the official College Guest Rooms. These Guest Rooms are located in the older residential areas of College and are available throughout the year. For more information on Guest Rooms please see the FAQs below.

Staff Accommodation

Trinity has limited accommodation for staff members. Single members of staff can apply for single bedroom apartments, which consist of a single bedroom with a lounge/kitchen and a private bathroom. Applications can be made through the form below. Unfortunately, there is no family accommodation available.

The allocation of staff rooms on campus is the responsibility of the Senior Dean. The Warden is responsible for the allocation of rooms at Trinity Hall. Priority is given to Fellows of the College and assistant Junior Deans or staff moving to Trinity from abroad.

Staff and guests applying for accommodation at Trinity Hall can apply here.

About your stay

Check-in is open from 12pm onwards. Keys may be collected from the Accommodation Office on Monday to Friday before 1pm. Otherwise, keys can be collected from the Security Lodge at Front Gate.

Keys cannot be collected by the college host prior to the arrival of the guest. Each guest will receive a welcome letter containing:

  • Keys to the room
  • Confirmation of the length of the stay
  • Location of their accommodation
  • Breakfast details
  • An invoice where appropriate

Hot breakfast will be served in the dining room on the ground floor of House 40 from 7.30am – 9.30am.

Guests are requested to checkout by 10am on the day of departure. Keys should be left either in the Guest Rooms, Accommodation Office or at Front Gate.

Guests settling their own account need to pay for their accommodation in advance by card.

Guests may not remain beyond the date of their booking unless arrangements have been made in advance with the Accommodation Office.

If you require assistance of any kind or need to report problems, please contact the Accommodation Office (01 896 2612) during office hours or Front Gate (01 896 1317).

In the event that you will require emergency services, please contact security at Front Gate (01 896 1999).

Car parking on campus is limited and strictly controlled. If a guest requires parking, they will find a temporary parking permit with their welcome letter. This should be completed and displayed in the front windscreen of their car.

Guest room prices inclusive of breakfast are:

  • Ensuite Single – €130 per night
  • Ensuite Double – €155 per night
  • Ensuite Twin – €155 for double occupancy or €130 for single occupancy per night

In the event that there is no availability, the Accommodation Office can provide information on alternative hotel and guest house accommodation.

Reservation requests can be made by submitting the form on this page. Reservations are only accepted for the current academic year. We advise early bookings particularly around the time of exams.

Please note that the Guest Rooms are reserved during Trinity week and are closed during Christmas and Easter. Guest Room accommodation is for 18+ only.

There are several options for payment:

  • Departmental code: departments will be notified at the end of each month of any charges incurred during that particular period.
  • The guest can be invoiced by the Accommodation Office to settle their account directly on the advice of the department making the reservation. Payments by guests must be made in advance.
  • College Societies must settle the account by card in advance of the guest’s arrival.
