Closing the Feedback Loop

Feedback, Action, Response

CAPSL encourages each School to ‘complete the feedback loop’ by informing students of actions resulting from their feedback. Students need to see what action is taken as a result of their comments. In turn, student commitment to the process can be increased.

Tips for providing good feedback to students.

  1. Circulating information on actions resulting from feedback demonstrates to students that action on feedback is a matter of School priority;
  2. Providing feedback in a timely fashion ie. before the end of the course and/or shortly after the survey took place;
  3. Feedback must be easily understood by students;
  4. Student feedback must be anonymous.
