Professor Lynn Meek, Director of the L.H. Martin Institute of Higher Education Leadership and Management , University of Melbourne, Australia

•  Professor Meek, a sociologist (Cambridge) by training, has three decades of experience of researching higher education institutions, systems and policy issues.

•  Former Research Chair and Director in Higher Education Management and Policy, University of New England, 1996 - 2008

•  Has attracted nearly $3 million in competitive research grants, including six Australian Research Council large grants, five ARC small grants, an ARC SPIRT grant,

•  Research interests include University governance and management, research management, diversification of higher education institutions and systems, institutional amalgamations, organisational change and comparative HE systems.

•  Member of the UNESCO Scientific Committee for Asia and the Pacific

•  In 2010 he helped establish the Lund University UNESCO Chair in Research Management and Innovation Systems and the Associated UNITWIN network.

•  Member and chair of numerous international Board linked to teaching, research and quality
