Academic Staff Development

Trinity College Dublin is committed to recruiting, retaining and developing our academic community as a key driver of our goal of being a world class university. As part of our support to developing academic staff, we are initiating a mentoring support service. Initially, a focus group, chaired by the Vice-Provost/CAO, was set up to help develop the purpose and scope of the mentoring initiative and a proposal for new mentoring initiatives for Academic Staff was approved by the University Council on 17th February 2010.

The Early Career Mentoring Initiative for Academic Staff was launched in March 2010. An innovative programme for academic staff, more established in their careers is now being introduced - The Momentum Programme. For further details, please see http://www.tcd.ie/Staff_Office/mentoring
