Graduate Records - Record Volume of the University of Dublin, Trinity College

Originally a supplement to the annual University Calendar, the Record Volume first appeared in 1877, and in enlarged versions in 1901, 1913, 1951 and 2006.

The Record Volume, or ‘Red Calendar’ so-called from the binding adopted in 1907, has provided comprehensive lists of all university and college officers, fellows, scholars, professors, exhibitioners, prize-winners, honorary degrees, degrees conferred and qualifications awarded, moderators, and respondents.

The 2006 edition was accompanied by statistical reports which summarise the historical trends in most of the undergraduate courses, and all of the postgraduate course and research degrees conferred since 1949, in the case of scholars since 1951, and since 1950 for Moderators and Respondents.

All volumes were compiled on the basis of the University’s official graduate records for which the Student and Graduate Records Office is the custodian.

Further information about these volumes, and their contents, can be obtained from the Student and Graduate Records Office.
