INVIGILATION RECRUITMENT

New Invigilators will be required for all formal TCD examinations held during 2013.

Invigilation is open to all registered postgraduate students (including part-time and off-books postgraduate students).

Please read the following information before you apply for Invigilation this year.

There are two steps involved in the application process which all intending invigilators must complete.

A.   THE APPLICATION PROCESS

STEP 1 :

All postgraduate students who wish to be considered for Invigilation during the current year (including current invigilators) must complete an online Invigilation Application Form (follow the link below) no later than 4.30pm on Monday 28 January 2013.  We will be unable to accept late applications, or any requests to apply, after this date.

STEP 2:

New applicants only must submit an original, signed Character Reference to the Examinations Office no later than 4.30pm on Monday 28 January 2013 .  Please forward a copy of the Character Reference form (see link below) to your TCD Supervisor (or your TCD Course Director) requesting them to complete this form and return it directly to the Examinations Office.  Alternatively, you may also print this Character Reference form, ask your TCD Supervisor (or TCD Course Director) to complete and sign the form and you may then bring it in person to the Examinations Office by the above deadline.

It is your responsibility to ensure your reference is submitted to the Examinations Office by the agreed deadline – we will be unable to accept late references after this date.

B.   THE 2013 INVIGILATION MEETING

All postgraduate students who have received an email confirming their successful application to become an invigilator for 2013 must attend the Invigilation Meeting on the morning of Wednesday 10 April 2013 .   If you do not attend this meeting you will not be eligible to invigilate during formal examination sessions after that date.  Unfortunately, we will be unable to hold a second, or alternative invigilation meeting this year. 

C.    SIGNIFICANT DATES

Monday 28 January 2013

• 4.30pm – deadline for the submission of application forms for 2013
• 4.30pm – deadline for the submission of an original, signed Character Reference (for new applicants only)

Monday 4 February 2013

• Email circulation to confirm receipt of application and successful outcome
• Email circulation will also confirm the date, time and venue for the 2013 Invigilation Meeting  

Wednesday 10 April 2013

• The 2013 Invigilation Meeting (time and venue - TBC)
